A: Applications are accepted for students entering grades 4 through 9.

Q: What is the tuition to attend FIS?
A: Tuition for students in grades 4-6 is $3,630 and tuition for students in grades 7-12 is $3,850.  A $500 non-refundable deposit is required before the start of every school year.  The non-refundable deposit is put towards the full tuition expense.

A: No.  Each applicant is reviewed on an individual basis.

Q: How does the ferry work?
A: Students take the 7:00am ferry to school every morning to arrive at 7:45am.  Classes begin at 8:00am and run until 2:51pm. Students remain in the building until 4:30pm and have the option to participate in after school activities or complete homework.  The ferry leaves Fishers Island at 4:45pm.  A teacher rides the ferry daily to supervise students during transportation to and from the island.

Q: Who can I call if I have more questions?
A: The school counselor, Julie Arcelus, is available Monday-Friday via phone at 631-788-7444 or email at [email protected]
